📢 Overview

At Numero, we build software for political campaigns and nonprofits. Since our founding in 2019, we’ve scaled our platform to serve thousands of campaigns ranging from city council seats to US Senate races, and have helped them collectively raise over $10B in contributions.

Our platform is an all-in-one system comprised of a donor CRM, broadcast email + texting tools, and payment processing pages that our clients rely on for their work every day. As our product is the platform that our users operate out of every day, this also means that when we build and launch new products, we do so to all of our users, at scale 🚀.

This is a pivotal role. You'll take the reins on the day-to-day: owning our monthly close, financial reporting, forecasting, billing, and compliance. Just as importantly, this is an AI-forward role - a meaningful part of our finance work already runs through AI-driven workflows and agents, and you'll run them, improve them, build new ones, and own the judgment layer that keeps them honest. Who we’re looking for

We're looking for an experienced finance professional who is equal parts rigorous accountant and curious builder, with the following skills / qualifications:

• 4+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, including ownership of month-end close and financial statements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required
• Solid technical accounting foundation and working knowledge of US GAAP
• General fluency with AI tools and real excitement about applying them (or learning to apply them) to finance — you can point to automations, prompts, or AI-assisted workflows you've used or built
• Strong attention to detail - you catch the number that's off, including when an AI produced it
• Excellent written and verbal communication - you'll answer internal and external (client) questions directly and clearly
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong self-motivation
• Professional demeanor and sound judgment when handling sensitive financial matters
• Located in Southern California and willing to travel 1-2x a year for company retreats and/or team offsites (usually held in California)

Nice to have

• Experience at a public accounting firm
• Experience with usage-based / subscription SaaS revenue recognition
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining AI agents, automations, or no-code/low-code workflows
• Familiarity with any of our tools: Claude, QuickBooks, Stripe, PayPal, Excel, Google Workspace, Monday.com, HubSpot, PandaDoc, Help Scout.
